AIIA Russell Trood Internship

The Australian Institute of International Affairs is pleased to announce the establishment of the AIIA Russell Trood Internship, which will provide an honorarium for the editor of the AIIA’s popular international affairs blog, Australian Outlook.

The new internship has been made possible thanks to the generosity of the late President of AIIA Qld and Fellow of the Australian Institute of International Affairs, Professor Russell Trood FAIIA, and will commence in July 2017.

A former senator for Queensland and director of the Griffith Asia Institute among other roles, Professor Trood died in January 2017 and is remembered by many as a great contributor to the national discourse on foreign policy and national security.

The $1000 honorarium will provide reimbursement for costs associated with the voluntary internship. For more information about AIIA internships, see here. Applications for the Russell Trood Internship can be made here by choosing the Australian Outlook Editor role.
