Dr Charles Hawksley
Dr Charles Hawksley is senior lecturer in Politics and Discipline Leader, Politics and International Studies at the University of Wollongong, New South Wales. His research is mainly focussed on topics associated with state-building and peace-building in Oceania, including interventions by the United Nations and by regional organisations. Charles has conducted fieldwork in Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and Solomon Islands and brings examples into hifrom his research into his teaching on peacekeeping, police building, states and interventions. He teaches a range of subjects from introductory politics to Honours, including international politics, political theory and political economy.
